IMS begins each project by working with our customer to define the functional goals of the system. This functional understanding guides every facet of the project’s execution. A system configuration translates functions into the necessary hardware and illustrates how these components interact. Upon customer approval of these documents, IMS continues with the detailed design of the system. The detailed design documents include a program organization plan, a detailed explanation of how the functionality will be accomplished, and the system schematics. The system is built and software is developed using these documents as a foundation. A test plan is written to rigorously test the functionality defined at the initiation of the project. Our systems ship only after a thorough and successful factory test. Customer participation is strongly encouraged throughout all phase of development.
