IMS was founded as an industrial process control system supplier focused on rolling mill automation systems. In the years since, IMS has built on this foundation to deliver automation solutions across multiple other manufacturing and process industries.

A deep understanding of the theoretical and practical technical requirements, as well as the operational requirements for these systems is reflected in the solutions IMS delivers. While the technical requirements for process quality and efficiency are paramount, IMS’ operational orientation is reflected in the use of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) platforms wherever possible.

IMS works with all major OEM systems and is ‘supplier neutral’ where alternate solutions meet the technical requirements of the application. Decisions on the specific OEM and technical solution are made in collaboration with the customer based on IMS recommendations and customer preferences or existing installed base.

The result is a superior technological solution, with longer asset lifetime and more support options, and reduced ownership complexity and lower total life-cycle cost.
