In many existing rolling mill facilities, Motor-Generator (MG) sets remain a viable variable speed drive subsystem. IMS is an expert in the modernization of these legacy drive systems using modern solid-state digital motor and generator field excitation and PLC control.
The PLC is the heart of the MG drive control implementation. This includes the software implementation of:
